  11. PageStream 3.0i for Amiga will be released Thursday March 7. We will
  12. start shipping out orders for 3.0i on March 7 and anticipate that
  13. patches to upgrade to 3.0i will be online on Friday, March 8.

  15. HOW TO GET THE PATCHES
  16.  
  17. We always put the patches on our BBS first. Dial 314-256-8971 at
  18. 14400 or 28800. Please note that we do not have the best phone line
  19. quality in our area, so we recommend using zmodem so that you can
  20. continue downloading if you are interrupted by line noise.

  22. On CompuServe, type GO AMIGAVEN and download the patches from
  23. library 15. On Genie, type SOFTLOGIK (page 385) and download the
  24. patches our library. On Portal, type GO SOFTLOGIK. On the Internet,
  25. FTP the patches from Aminet (pub/aminet/biz/patch at most sites.
  26. Please note that the patches will not be available via FTP
  27. immediately. We will post a message in comp.sys.amiga.applications
  28. when the patches are available via the net.

  30. WHAT PATCH FILES DO I NEED?
  31.  
  32. To reduce the amount you need to download, we have provided patches
  33. from all recent versions. Most people should just need to download a
  34. single patch (two files). If you have an older version, the most you
  35. will need to download is two patches (four files).

  37.  To upgrade from 3.0h2->3.0i: download PGS32I.LHA and PGS3I.LHA.
  38.  To upgrade from 3.0h ->3.0i: download PGS3HI.LHA and PGS3I.LHA.
  39.  To upgrade from 3.0g ->3.0i: download PGS3GI.LHA and PGS3I.LHA.
  40.  To upgrade from 3.0f ->3.0i: download PGS3FI.LHA and PGS3I.LHA.

  42. Please note that only the 3.0h2 to 3.0i patch will be available
  43. first. It will take us about a week to generate, test and upload the
  44. other combinations.

  46. If you don't have one of these versions, you will first need to
  47. upgrade to 3.0f:

  50.  To upgrade from 3.0d ->3.0f: download PGS3DF.LHA and PGS3F.LHA.

  56. HOW CAN I GET 3.0i ON DISK?

  58. If you are a registered owner of 3.0, you can order the 3.0i seven
  59. disk set for $10. This is a complete replacement for your original
  60. 3.0 disks.

  62. I USED A 3.0i BETA. HOW DO I PATCH TO 3.0i?
  63.  
  64. We'd like to thank all the people who participated in the public
  65. testing of 3.0i and who sent us feedback. We made so many
  66. fundamental changes in this version that it really needed extensive
  67. testing. You have helped make 3.0i as solid as possible.

  69. If you were on the 3.0i beta distribution list, you will receive the
  70. final 3.0i release via email. Do not download the patches listed
  71. above unless you want to revert to 3.0h2 and use the public patches.

  73. I HAVE THE GERMAN VERSION---HOW DO I GET 3.0i?

  75. Our goal is always to deliver the German version to DTM one week
  76. after the English version. (DTM is the publisher of PageStream in
  77. Germany.) We will generate a German patch for 3.0i and upload it to
  78. the net, CompuServe and our BBS. We will post a message when this is

  87. WHEN WILL PAGESTREAM 3.1 BE AVAILABLE?

  89. We don't have an estimate for 3.1 at this time. 3.0i is the last
  90. version of 3.0. We believe that it's suitable for most of our
  91. customers' DTP tasks. If you've been putting off upgrading, upgrade
  92. now. Just because the next version will be called 3.1 doesn't mean
  93. you should wait. 3.0i is ready for serious work, and 3.1 will of
  94. course be a free upgrade for 3.0 owners.

  96. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  97.  
  98. PageStream 3.0i requires 4MB of memory and any Amiga computers with
  99. at least AmigaOS 2.04 or better and a hard drive. 4MB should be
  100. considered the minimum. We highly recommend 6MB or more for regular
  101. use.
  102.  
  103. While PageStream will work with any Amiga processor, we highly
  104. recommend at least a 68030 for regular use, and a 68040 or 68060 for
  105. professional use.
  106.  
  107. PageStream 3.0i supports the CyberGfx standard. We recommend a
  108. CyberGfx compatible graphics board such as Phase V's CyberVision, if
  109. you want to do full color publishing.
